Mrs. Edmée Richard, age 90, of Pré-d'en-Haut, NB, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Tuesday, May 26, 1998 following a brief illness.

Born on June 19, 1907 in Pré-d'en-Haut, NB, she was the daughter of the late Siméon Melanson and the late Marguerite Belliveau. She was a Homemaker and a retired employee of Memramcook Institute. She attended Notre Dame de I'Annonciation Church. She was a member of Légion de Marie (Past President) and a member of the Club d'Age D'Or de Pré-d'en-Haut.

She is survived by six daughters, Viola (Eddie) McArdle, Moncton, Jeannine (Léo) Caissie, Hudson, Mass., Marie Ange (Gérald) Boudreau, Little Dover Road, Aline LeBlanc, Ashburnham, Mass., Dorine Gautreau, Pré-d'en-Haut. Bertille (Richard) LeBlanc, Moncton; four sons, Francis (Loretta) Richard, Moncton, Léo-Paul Richard, Elie (Marie Thérèse) Richard both of Pré-d'en-Haut, Donald (Andréa) Richard, La Hêtrière; two sisters, Bertha Arsenault, Fitchburg, Mass., Exia Gaudet, Dieppe; 35 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Vital Richard (1978) former MLA; six brothers, Jimmy. Aurèle, Eddie, Gilbert, Dominique, and Blair.

By her request, cremation was forwarded. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Church on Friday, May 29, 1998 at 7 p.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
